This powder is a re-use ingredient; Store in a airtight container & refrigerate for upto 3 months; you can use this powder to make an instant variety rice using vegetables of your choice. When i was growing in Hosur, my neighbouring Karnataka aunty prepared VANGI BAATH and we’re very fond of this.

Servings: 4 Persons


Chenna Dhal – ¼cup

Dry Coconut – 1 cup grated (kopparai)

Coriander Seeds – ¼ cup

Cloves – 5 nos

Cinnamon – 5 nos (small)

Kashmiri Dry Chillies – 20nos (or Red Dry chillies – 10nos)


Roast all the above ingredients each separately and let it cool.

Sprinkle oil  if necessary, while roasting.

Using a electric mixer, grind them to a coarse powder.


Store in an airtight container & refrigerate for upto 3 months.
