Cabbage cooked soft with grated Coconut, Wow..

Servings: 4 Persons


Cabbage (Sliced thin – 3cups)
Red dry chilly or green chilly – 2 stilted
for seasoning: Jeera, Chenna dal, Mustard & Urud Dal – 1 tsp

Curry leaves (a sprig)
Onion (Chopped 1 cup)
Coconut (Grated ½ cup)
Oil (½tsp)
Salt – to taste


Heat oil in a pan/Kadai, fry mustard seeds, dals, chilly, curry leaves till mustard sputter in medium flame.

Add onion and fry for a minute in medium flame.

Add cabbage, salt & sprinkle water.

Lower the flame & cover it with a lid for 5 minutes.


Dole out Yummy Cabbage Poriyal – as a sidedish for Rice.
