Grated carrot cooked with milk & sugar, a yummy & healthy dessert.

Servings: 4 Persons


Carrot – ½kg, grated (about 2 cups)

Thick Milk – 1cup

Sugar – ½cup

Ghee – 4tsp

Cardamom – 3nos, crushed or powdered

Cashew – 3tsp

Raisins – 3tsp


Heat a pan, add carrots & milk, stir continuously, till milk thickens.

Add sugar, mix well.

In another pan, heat ghee, add cardamom, cashew, raisins & roast well in low flame.

Add the above cashew to the carrot halwa. Mix well.

Go on mixing the halwa, till the halwa thickens.


Dole out yummy hot Gajar Halwa.
