Yummy Poridge made with Jack Fruit & Coconut Milk – Kerala delight..

Servings: 4 Persons


Jack Fruit (cleaned & ripped fruit – 2 cups)

Coconut (grated 3 cups)

Jaggery (1cup)

Cardamon (2nos)

Jeera (½tsp)

Dry Ginger (½tsp) (Sukku)

Ghee (5tsp)

Coconut (Finely chopped -2tsp)

Cashew nuts (3tsp)

Raisins (3tsp)


Pressure cook jack fruits for 10 minutes (w/o seed).

Keep aside to cool & grind using mixer or smash it well.

Using electric mixer grind coconut and extract 1 litre of milk.

Boil coconut milk with jaggery, powdered {Cardamon, Jeera, Dry Ginger}, add jack fruit mixture and mix well.

Boil for 10 minutes in low flame.

For Seasoning: In a pan, heat  Ghee, fry finely chopped coconut, cashew nuts and raisins; add it to the Kheer.


Dole out hot in a bowl, a yummy porridge from Kerala.
