Chicken Kurma

Chicken marinated in Coconut milk, gives a pleasant taste and aroma.

Servings: 4 Persons


Chicken (½kg)

Turmeric Powder (½ tsp)

Ginger Garlic Paste (2tsp)

Onion (1cup chopped)

Tomato (1cup chopped)

Green Chillies (2tsp)

Cloves (2nos)

Cinnamon (2nos)

Salt (to taste)

Mint leaves (2-3 sprigs)

Coriander leaves (2-3 sprigs)

Coconut (Grinded to paste- 1 cup)

Oil (3tsp)


Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan, add cloves, cinnamon, green chillies, onions, ginger-garlic paste and saute.

Add tomato & chicken, and all other remaining ingredients and a cup of water.

Cook for 10 minutes.

When the chicken is soft, add coconut paste, boil it for 5 minutes, garnish with mint & coriander leaves & serve hot.


Dole out Yummy Chicken Gravy, tastes good with Chapathi / Parota / Idly / Dosa / Poori / Rice.
