This famous coconut rice can be tasted all over South India, has a different yummy, light taste of coconut.

Servings: 4 Persons


Cooked Rice (4cups)
Coconut (Grated 2 cups)
Cashew nuts (2tsp, chopped)

Green Chilly (8nos- slitted)
Cinnamon (2nos)
Cloves (2nos)
Curry Leaves (2 sprigs)
Salt (to taste)
Oil (¼ cup)
Ghee 1 tsp


Cool the prepared cooked rice.

In a thick bottomed pan, heat oil, add Cinnamon, Cloves, Green chillies & Saute.

Now add the coconut, curry leaves and salt. In low flame, saute.

Add rice, mix well, add ghee.


Dole out your folks, Yummy Coconut Rice Spicy gravy of your choice or with Vadai/Pakoda/Fried Eggs.
