This authentic Crispy Adai is prepared using Rice & Thoor Dal, with Spicy Red chillies & flavor of Garlic, a Yummy breakfast or a evening snack along with Tea.
Raw Rice (1cup)
Thoor Dal (½ cup) (Thuvaram Paruppu)
Chenna Dal (¼ cup) (Kadalai Paruppu)
Red chillies (8nos)
Sombu (1 tsp)
Garlic (8cloves, skin peeled)
Coriander Leaves (1/4 cup chopped)
Asafoetida (1/4 tsp)
Onion (1cup chopped)
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Soak rice & dals for a hour.
Grind Rice, Dals, with Red Chillies, Garlic & Somb.
Mix the batter along with onions, Coriander leaves, Asafoetida, Curry leaves and Salt.
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a thick pan, when ready, pour the batter, slightly flatten it, cover with lid, lower flame, wait till golden brown crisp, turn the other side, add oil, if required.
Dole out hot spicy yummy Crispy Adai for breakfast or as a evening snack with Tea.
