(Dalia) Broken Wheat and Thoor Dhal – cooked together & Seasoned with Jeera.
Servings: 4 Persons
Dalia -1½ cups
Thoor Dhal – ½cup
Mustard Seeds -1tsp
Turmeric Powder -½tsp
Onion ½cup, finely chopped
Green Chillies 3nos, finely chopped
Carrot ¼cup, finely chopped (optional)
Beans ¼cup, finely chopped (optional)
Coriander leaves – 2 sprigs chopped
Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs
Salt – to taste
Ghee – 8tsp
Wash & Clean Dalia & Dhal. Pressure cook it with 6 cups of water, along with Salt & Turmeric Powder.
When Cooked, cool off.
Heat Ghee in a Pan, add mustard, wait till it sputters, add Jeera, Green Chillies & Curry leaves, Sauté.
Add Onion, Carrot, Beans, Sauté for 5-10 min, in medium flame.
Add the seasoning to the cooked Dalia, Mix Well.
Garnish with Coriander leaves, Dole out hot with Onion Raitha or Chutney of your choice.
