A yummy Palli chutney or verkadalai thuvaiyal is a simple but delicious recipe, ingredients grinded to paste, can be used as a side-dish for idly/dosai or can be mixed up with rice.

Servings: 4 Persons

Ingredients

Ground Nut – 1cup

Red Chillies – 6nos

Tamarind – small gooseberry size

Ginger – 1inch cube

Salt to taste

Gingerly Oil – ½tsp (Nal ennai)

Method

Heat a thick bottomed pan.

Add  oil,  saute red chillies, keep aside.

Add ground nuts, roast in low flame. Keep aside. Let it cool.

Use electric mixer, grind all the above ingredients, with very less water.

Servings

Dole out yummy Gnut Thuvayal/Chutney, a yummy side-dish for Idly / Dosa & the best for Rice.
PS: Next time try the same chutney/thuvayal with  cloves of garlic instead of ginger (Don’t add both)
