Potato boiled with Jeera & spices, yummy sidedish for Poori & Chapathi.

Servings: 4 Persons


Potato (Peeled & Chop in french fries style – 2 cups)

Garlic (3nos Crushed)

Jeera (1 tsp)

Mustard (¼tsp)

Chilli Powder (1tsp)

Coriander Powder (1tsp)

Onion (1 chopped)

Tomato (2 Chopped)

Curry Leaves (2sprigs)

Coriander Leaves (2sprigs-Chopped)

Salt (to taste)

Oil (2tsp)


Heat oil in a Pan, add mustard & Jeera, wait till mustard sputters.

Add garlic, Curry leaves, Onion and potato, Saute for a minute.

Add Tomatoes, chilli powder, coriander Powder, Salt and turmeric powder.

Add enough water & let the potatoes cook till soft. Close with a lid.


Dole out hot, garnish with coriander leaves, tastes yummy with Poori & Chapathi.
