Puffed rice seasoned with turmeric powder & red chilly, a simple & common snack in TamilNadu.

Servings: 4 Persons

Ingredients

Puffed Rice – 4 cups

Mustard – ¼tsp

Jeera – ¼tsp

Garlic – 6 cloves, crushed

Red Dry Chilly – 4 nos, splited or Mor Milagai (salted Chilly)

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Oil – 2 tsp

Method

Heat oil in a big pan, add mustard & jeera, wait till mustard splutters.

Add garlic, saute in low flame, till crisp, add red chilly & curry leaves. Saute well.

Add puffed rice & turmeric powder, (if puffed rice has no salt, add salt)

Saute for a minute & remove from fire.

Servings

Dole out yummy hot Kara Pori, a tasty snack. Store in a air-tight dry container.
