Ladies Finger fried in a pan with chilli powder, a yummy side-dish for rice.

Servings: 4 Persons


Ladies Finger (chopped 1cm – 4cups)

Onion (Chopped ¼cup)

Optional-Tomato (Chopped ¼cup)

Turmeric Powder (¼tsp)

Salt (to taste)

Chilli Powder (1tsp)

Garlic (3 cloves, Crushed)

Curry leaves (2 sprigs)

Oil (5tsp)


Heat 1tsp oil in a pan, add onion, tomatoes, ladies finger & sauté in medium flame, make sure the bottom doesn’t worn out. Add oil, if required. You need to fry this for about 20-30 minutes. (to avoid worn-outs, add more oil or 2-3 spoons of curd)

When cooked well, add, salt, garlic, chilli powder, turmeric powder, saute well.

Before serving, add curry leaves & saute once again.


Enjoy Crispy spicy Bindhi Fry with Rice / Chapathi.
