Field bean / Motcha Kottai is one variety of bean with high protein and tastes different; Here in this recipe we use dry motcha kotai / Anumulu (in Telugu)
Servings: 4 Persons
Motchai Kottai – 1 cup (Dry Bean)
Turmeric Powder – 2 pinches
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1tsp
Tomato -1 chopped
Green Chillies – 2nos sliced
Cloves – 2nos
Cinnamon – 2nos
Snauf -¼tsp (Sombu)
Red chilli Powder – ½ tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Mint leaves – 2 sprigs
Coriander leaves – 2 sprigs, chopped
Coconut – 1cup grated
Oil – 1tsp
Soak Dry beans over night (about 8 hours) & pressure cook. Keep aside.
Grind coconut & Sombu to paste with water. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add green chillies, onions, ginger-garlic paste and sauté.
Add tomato & cooked beans, and all other remaining ingredients, sauté well.
Add coconut paste, add water if required. Leave it in low flame for 5 minutes.
Dole out yummy hot Motchai Kottai Kurma garnishing with coriander leaves.
