Mutton & Jackfruit Seed Fry

Mutton fried along with Jack fruit seeds, a yummy TamilNadu Special;

Servings: 4 Persons


Jack fruit seed – 1 cup, skin peeled off

Mutton (½kg)

Turmeric Powder (½ tsp)

Ginger Garlic Paste (2tsp)

Onion (1cup chopped)

Garam Masala (1 tsp) (or any chicken/mutton Masala) (or 2 cloves, 3 cinnamon, 3 cardamom)

Red chilli Powder (1 tsp)

Coriander Powder  (2 tsp)

Salt (to taste)

Mint leaves (2-3 sprigs chopped)

Coriander leaves (2-3 sprigs, chopped)

Oil (3tsp)


Pressure cook mutton & jackfruit seeds along with ½ginger garlic paste for 15-20 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan, add green chillies, onions, ginger-garlic paste and saute.

Add mutton & seeds (remove water, use it for soup), and all other remaining ingredients & fry. Add oil if required.


Dole out yummy Palakottai Mutton Fry for Rice.
