Mutton Kurma Recipe Spotlight

Use Pressure cooker and prepare this Mutton gravy, Quickly.

Servings: 4 Persons


Mutton (½kg)

Turmeric Powder (½ tsp)

Ginger Garlic Paste (2tsp)

Onion (1cup chopped)

Tomato (1cup chopped)

Green Chillies (2tsp)

Cloves (2nos)

Cinnamon (2nos)

Cardamom (2nos)

Snauf (1tsp) (Sombu)

Red chilli Powder (1 tsp)

Coriander Powder  (2 tsp)

Salt (to taste)

Mint leaves (2-3 sprigs chopped)

Coriander leaves (2-3 sprigs, chopped)

Coconut (1cup grated )

Oil (3tsp)


Grind coconut & Sombu to paste with water. Keep aside.

Heat oil in pressure cooker, add green chillies, onions, ginger-garlic paste and saute.

Add tomato & mutton, and all other remaining ingredients and 2 cups of water.

Pressure cook for 15 minutes.

When cooked & ready, add the coconut paste, water if required. Leave it in low flame for 5 minutes.

When the Gravy is Ready, garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot.


Dole out Yummy Mutton Kurma, tastes good with Chapathi / Parota / Idly / Dosa / Rice.
