Spiced Buttermilk (Neer Moore)

Water mixed with Curd (Yoghurt), Green Chilly & Ginger, available in almost all places of TamilNadu. There are many versions of buttermilk available all over India. Most of the Indians use Mud Pot for cooling the Buttermilk naturally.

Servings: 4 Persons


Curd -½ cup

Water – 4 cups

Green Chilly – 1 no.

Ginger – 1cm cube

Salt – Optional

Coriander leaves – ½ Spoon Chopped

Curry Leaves – 4 leaves, Chopped


Blend Green Chilly, Ginger, Water & Curd in electric Mixie or use electric blender. Add salt, if required.


Refrigerate & Serve cold. Garnish with Curry & Coriander leaves.
