Mutton marinated in the paste of Coriander seeds, Black Pepper & Red chillies, tastes different; Spicy & Yummy;

Servings: 4 Persons


Mutton – 1kg

Oil – 4 tsp

Onion – 1 cup, Finely Chopped

Tomato – 1 cup, Finely Chopped

Coriander leaves – 5 sprigs, chopped

Mint leaves – 20 sprigs, chopped

Red / Green Chillies – 4 nos

Grind to paste:

Turmeric Powder – ½tsp

Cloves – 3nos

Cinnamon – 3nos

Cardamom – 3nos

Ginger – 3 inches

Garlic – 12 cloves

Sombu – 1tsp (fennel seeds)

Coriander Seeds – 3tsp

Red Chillies – 5 nos

Black Pepper – 2 tsp


Grind to paste, all the above ingredients with water, Keep aside.

Heat Pressure cooker, add oil, sauté chillies, onion in medium flame.

Add tomato, coriander leaves, mint leaves and cleaned mutton.

Add the grinded paste & salt.

Pressure cook till mutton cooks soft.


Dole out Yummy Hot Nilgiris Mutton; tastes good with Rice, Chapathi, Poori, Parota, Idly, Dosa.
