Pav Bhaji – Mumbai’s one of the famous street side yummy snack; Pav means bread & Bhaji is the mix vegetable gravy, garnished with raw chopped onions & lemon. I learnt this from a Maharaj, when I was in Mumbai.

Servings: 4 Persons


Pav/Bread (8-10 slices)

Carrot (chopped ½ cup)

Potato (chopped ½ cup)

Peas (chopped ½ cup)

Tomato (chopped ½ cup)

Beans (chopped ½ cup)

Capsicum (chopped ½ cup)

Cauliflower (chopped ½ cup)

Butter  (½ cup)

Salt (to taste)

Turmeric Powder  (½ tsp)

Pav Masala (I recomend Everest) (4 tsp)

For Garnishing:

Onion (chopped 2 cups)

Lemon wedges (8 pcs)

Coriander leaves (chopped – 3tsp)

Butter cubes (4pcs)


Pressure cook all the above vegetables along with salt & Turmeric Powder, for 10 minutes.

Heat ¼cup Butter in a pan, add the above boiled vegetables, Everest Paav Masala powder and cook for 10 minutes, smashing all the vegetables.

Heat butter in a thick pan, slit Paav and toast both sides.


Dole out hot yummy Paav with Bhaji, Garnish with Chopped Onions, Chopped Coriander leaves, Lemon & Butter Cubes.
