Tatte Idli or Plate idly is a famous breakfast in Karnataka. Use Plates to steam idly rather than using idly stands. I have tasted this Tatte idly in many places of Karnataka.
Servings: 4 Persons
Mix the batter well, if the batter is too thick, slightly sprinkle water & mix.
Heat water in Idly cooker / pan.
Greece a plate with oil. Pour idly batter to the plate.
When the water starts to boil, place a vessel stand, so that water will not enter the plate, now place idly plate in cooker/pan, cover it with lid, cook for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, carefully take out the idly plate.
Using a scoop, remove idly from the plate.
