Peas & Potato fried with onion, tomato in crushed ginger garlic flavour, a yummy sidedish for rice in TamilNadu.
Servings: 4 Persons
Potato (Peeled & cubed to 2inch cube size- 2cup)
Fresh Peas (1cup) (or dry green peas soaked overnight)
Onion (Chopped ½cup)
Tomato (Chopped ¼cup)
Turmeric Powder (¼tsp)
Somb (¼tsp crushed) (Fenugreek)
Salt (to taste)
Ginger (1tsp crushed)
Garlic (1tsp crushed)
Chilli Powder (1tsp)
Coriander Powder (1tsp)
Coriander leaves (chopped 1tsp)
Boil potato & keep aside.
If you’re using dry peas, boil it along with Potato.
Heat 3tsp oil in a thick bottomed pan, add somb, onion sauté in medium flame, make sure the bottom doesn’t worn out.
Add cooked peas, potato, tomatoes, crushed ginger & garlic, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, saute well. Low the flame, add oil if required, Saute often to avoid burn-outs.
Fry till Crisp. Garnish with Coriander leaves & mint leaves.
