Onion, Tomato, Coconut grinded with Red chillies and fried bengal dal, a chutney found in few hotels in S.India.

Coconut (1cup grated)
Red Chillies (5nos split)
Split Bengal Gram (½cup)
Salt (to taste)
– Mustard (¼tsp)
– Split Urad dal (¼tsp)
– Curry Leaves (2sprigs)
– Asafoetida (2 pinches)
– Oil (5tsp)
In a pan, heat 1tsp oil, roast bengal gram in low medium flame, add to the mixer grinder.
Heat 2tsp oil, fry red chillies, onion, tomato, add them to Mixer grinder & keep the pan aside.
Grind Coconut, red chillies, garlic, onion, tomato salt & bengal gram, to paste, use required water.
For seasoning, Heat 2tsp oil in the pan, add mustard, dal, when mustard splutters, add Asafoetida , curry leaves and pour it on Chutney.
Dole out Yummy Tomato Onion Coconut Chutney, tastes good with Idly / Dosa / Uppma / Bajji.
