Vendakkai Masala Fry

Ladies-Finger Stuffed with a yummy masala & shallow fried in a flat pan.

Servings: 4 Persons


Ladies Finger – ½kg

Onion – 1 big (Chopped)

Garlic – 10 cloves (skins peeled)

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Home-made Kulambu Masala – 2tsp (or chillipowder-1tsp + coriander powder-1tsp)

Salt – to taste

Oil to shallow fry (10tsp)


Using Electric mixie, grind onion, garlic, masala powders, salt, curry leaves to a rough paste. (do not add water)

Slit the ladies-finger from top to bottom.

Stuff-in the paste to the slitted ladies-finger.

Heat a thick flat bottomed pan, apply oil, fry the ladies finger, in low flame, turning often.


Dole out yummy Hot & Spicy Ladies Finger Masala Fry, a yummy side-dish for rice.
